About The Women's Picnic

Featuring Frolics, Food, and Flirtations

The variety of activities available is limited only by your imagination and the whims of the weather: hiking, mountain biking, running, foraging, birding, wildflowering, socializing (the main attraction), a campfire if it’s cool, music making, wild late night drumming, the hot tub, games (we have croquet, bocce, and "group juggling" balls) and lazing about (new in 2005: a "family size" hammock)....

The Feasts

We ask for help in providing the food; this is a sensational potluck! We will provide soda, fruit juice, coffee, and tea (please bring your own alcoholic beverages).

Don’t Miss the Salon on Sunday

Sunday is our favorite part, so we hope you will stay over on Saturday night. Bring your tent. We also have some indoor sleeping space. (Call to make your reservation: first call, first served, but no promises. Please bring a sleeping bag and pillow.)

Or come back again on Sunday morning, and join us for a leisurely brunch, pleasant and stimulating conversation with some of the most fascinating women within hundreds of miles, skinny dipping if the weather permits, and more spontaneous entertainment.

If you prefer, come just on Sunday, and leave Saturday night to the rowdies. You wouldn’t be too early if you arrived at nine on Sunday morning.

What Will the Weather Be Like?

Summer in the mountains. Could be hot and sticky. Could be cool in the evenings. Here's the forecast.
